This versatile and multi-purpose vessel, a mid-range model in Damen’s fleet, is designed to meet the growing demand for robust and capable workboats in the maritime industry.

Enhancing Maritime Craft Services’ Fleet Capabilities
Maritime Craft Services, based on the Firth of Clyde, Scotland, operates a diverse fleet, with this latest acquisition expanding their operational capabilities. The company, which now has three Damen Multi Cats among its fleet, is known for providing a range of services including anchor handling, towing, cable laying, dive support, and general support across Europe, the Middle East, and beyond.

Christening and Handover Ceremony
The vessel, named MCS Rosie 2, was officially christened and handed over in a ceremony at Damen Shipyards Gorinchem. Named after the youngest child of the company’s director, Menno Kuyt, and his wife Heather, the ceremony was a familial and celebratory event, marking a new chapter for Maritime Craft Services.

Advanced Features of the Multi Cat 2712
The Multi Cat 2712 is equipped with a comprehensive set of equipment, including two deck cranes, a bow thruster, and a towing & anchor handling winch. Boasting a bollard pull of up to 32 tonnes and a top speed of ten knots, the vessel is designed to be a multifunctional asset for a wide range of maritime projects.
